We recently stayed at Murray Gardens and enjoyed it so much that we are eager to return as soon as we can.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the gentle giant, Kobi (the German Shepherd). Our check-in was very smooth. Tammy is extremely efficient and knew the details of our booking despite it having been made online the night before.
Murray Gardens is far enough out of Stanthorpe to have a very secluded feel, but close enough that a trip into town takes only a few minutes. It is easy to find – no Sat Nav required, and importantly, it is very quiet. The grounds are spacious and have a beautiful layout of native plants and lovely little paths to walk along. We feel there is a lot on offer that you don’t get at many places. Besides having a choice of cottages and motel rooms, the little extras make it a special place to stay. There are hammocks, a volleyball court, a dart board, ping pong table, and communal kitchen and bbq facilities, a fitness room, and a swimming pool in progress, just to name a few.
We were made to feel very welcome during our stay and we had the opportunity to relax. It makes such a difference when staff are very down to earth, helpful and efficient. We can’t speak highly enough of our experience. (Jan. 2012)
We enjoyed a great overnight stay – we received a friendly greeting on arrival (even though we were later than initially anticipated) As we were only travelling through we chose the motelstyle accommodation – The room was lovely and later we were told they were in the process of ‘doing up’ the rooms. My recommendation was to continue with all of the rooms as the result was terrific. Extra touches like some colour eg wall, cushions. The roses on the table (artificial but still beautiful), comfy sofa and large mirror on the well. We would recommend Murray Gardens and certainly look forward to a return visit ourselves. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable. (Nov. 2011)
